Remodeling Soon?
Are you planning to do some remodeling before you move in? Before making any exterior changes, you must submit an SMVE Request to Make Exterior Architectural Changes. The Architecture Committee usually approves requests very quickly. For tips on how to speed the process, visit How to Receive a Faster Response from the Architecture Committee. Exterior painting must use colors listed at SMVE Approved Exterior Finishes and Paint Colors. If you are making changes only inside your home, you don’t need to request permission. To avoid adverse impacts on your neighbors and other homeowners during construction, especially with regard to dumpsters, trailers, vehicles, portable toilets, and construction materials, always ask your contractor to complete the Contractor Checklist. For more information, visit Architecture.
