May 22: Sizzlin’ Summer Social #1 at Lutheran Church of the Foothills (LCF) from 2 – 3:30 pm: Noreen Poli presents an introduction to the Senior Geri-Fit Program, an evidence-based exercise program that is challenging, effective and safe. The program includes stretching, stability, strengthening and balance training. Program will also include social interaction activities.
June 27: Senior Living Tour and Lunch at Splendido at Rancho Vistoso. Depart from LCF parking lot at 10:30 am and return to LCF at 2:30 pm for short debriefing session. Limited to 20 persons. Call the SNAPLine at 437-9556 to reserve your space now.
July 3: Sizzlin’ Summer Social #2 at LCF from 2 – 3:30 pm with Sheryl Brown of Advocates4Solutions. Sheryl lives in the SNAP service area and is a private health /well-being advocate for senior adults at home or in assisted living facilities. She will present information and tips about how to be your own best advocate in a healthcare setting and beyond. Program will also include social interaction activities.
August 21: Sizzlin Summer Social #3 at LCF from 2 – 3:30 pm. with a staff member from the AZ State Museum. This session will be used as a possible draw for SNAP social outing/bus trip to AZ State Museum in Tucson.
