The long term SMVE HOA Contract vendor for accounting services (DeVries, CPAs) remains part of the newly merged company HBLCPAs of AZ. The SMVE HOA Board and Finance Committee appointed Sue and Bob Vaughan to meet personally with senior leadership at HBL on October 22, 2014. The HOA’s agenda included, because of company personnel changes, a comprehensive review of all expectations (i.e. financial and information management services) included in the long-term automatic renewal contract with HBL (previously DeVries CPAs).
After a presentation of SMVE HOAs expectations and, effective immediately, SMVE HOA will receive senior leadership direct support from Marianne DeVries (previous owner of the merged corporation and senior partner of HBL) and Lori Beine, M.B.A., Chief Accountant of the merged firm. These two consultants presented ideas, options, and a briefing of the new quality assurance protocol complete with electronic programs to ensure reliability and validity of all accounting information provided by HBL. Subsequently, the overview and results of this meeting were presented to the SMVE HOA Board of Directors in Executive Session. All enhanced plans were accepted unanimously with appreciation.
